This Garlic Peeling Hack Is Taking the Internet by Storm
If you’re reading a website called Cooking Light, chances are you know your way around a head of garlic. Or do you?
What if I told you that your life—or at least your life as it relates to garlic—has been a lie?
One garlic expert took to Twitter this weekend to blow the Internet’s collective mind.
“As someone who makes a lot of Korean food, this is the best method for getting garlic peeled,” @VPestilenZ posted alongside a video.
In the video, a pair of hands held a head of garlic in one hand and a thin, sharp knife in the other. They used the pointed end of the knife to stab each individual clove and pulled the clove easily from the head.
The method seemed simple, painless, and totally doable.
Even cookbook author and model Chrissy Teigen was impressed.
Some people were seemingly angry that they hadn’t thought of the trick years ago.
Others, however, are just ready to go home and peel some garlic.
Now that you know how to peel the day away, check out seven more garlic tips that’ll get you off the canned stuff for good.
