We’d like to introduce you to your new favorite pizza topping. Mushrooms get high marks for soaking up all the smoky, spicy flavor of this marinade. Try these stirred into an omelet, topping your favorite steak, or on a meat-and-cheese board.

How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, liquid smoke, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper in a medium bowl.

Step 2

Toss mushrooms in marinade, and place in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake until crispy, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven; let cool at room temperature, about 10 minutes.
