The flavors of these sugars are concentrated, so you only need to use a little to pack quite a punch. They're great for rimming cocktail glasses (think of this as a way to fun-up mocktails at a baby shower, too), sprinkling over oatmeal or yogurt, or decorating cookies and quick breads. 1/2 cup freeze-dried apples or 1 ounce apple chips
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How to Make It
Place apples in a coffee or spice grinder; process until very finely ground. Pour into a bowl. Add sugar and cinnamon; stir well.
