This Is the Recipe Ina Garten Says She Could “Eat Every Night”
This recipe should tide you over until Ina’s new cookbook hits stores next month.
Home cooks are eagerly awaiting the release of fall's most anticipated cookbook—Ina Garten's Cook Like a Pro, which is due to hit bookstores and Amazon on October 23. In the agonizing months leading up to the release, the star of Food Network's Barefoot Contessa has been teasing some of the most exciting recipes via Instagram and on her website. So far, Ina has blessed us with an easy tomato salad recipe, but Garten recently shared another sneak peek of Cook Like a Pro with a chicken recipe that you'll want to add to your arsenal of superfast weeknight meals.
"This one-dish dinner has everything I want — tender mustard chicken with a crunchy panko crust, roasted fingerling potatoes, and a cold, crisp frisée salad with plenty of mustardy vinaigrette," Ina writes in her Instagram post. "I could eat this for dinner every night! Hope you love it too!"
At Cooking Light, we're a big fan of mustard vinaigrette on fingerling potato salad, so it's easy to see how Ina's mustard chicken could easily fit into our weekly lineup. We've also previously harnessed the flavors of Dijon mustard alongside honey in another of our favorite weeknight dinners: Our Honey-Dijon Chicken Paillards served alongside a delicious and zesty zucchini slaw.
Mustard and chicken are a classic pairing in French cuisine, and for those who are trying to watch their diets, mustard is one of the easiest condiment swaps you can make to avoid excess sodium. We're all for Ina's use of mustard in this delicious chicken recipe, which you can view on Garten's website.

Ina says this recipe is an "intermediate" recipe, which may have to do with the fact that the chicken is dredged in a mustard mixture before cooking, but don't despair—if this particular recipe seems too invested for your household on a weeknight, we have plenty of other fast chicken dinner recipes right here.
