You Can Use Your Toys R Us Gift Cards for New Kitchen Gadgets — Here's How
Toys R Us recently announced they were permanently closing half of their U.S. stores, which made us wonder what we should do with our old, unspent gift cards.
Sure, we could head to the store and buy everything in sight, but toy trends come and go so quickly these days—plus, most parents today shop online for gifts.
We’d rather spend that Toys R Us gift card on something better, something for us. Well, Bed Bath & Beyond has answered our prayers. From now until April 5 at 11:59 PM EST, you can trade in your Toys R Us and Babies R Us gift cards for a Bed Bath & Beyond Egift card.
According to the Bed Bath & Beyond card cash website, consumers will not get the full value of their gift card. You can check the exchange rate online, and you always have the option to keep your original card if you’re unhappy with their offer.
Only active cards worth more than $20 can be exchanged. Toys R Us gift cards are typically reimbursed for about 65 percent of the original value, according to Business Insider.
So who needs another Lego set when you can get money toward a brand new pressure cooker, air fryer, or Le Cruset Dutch Oven? Bed Bath & Beyond also has gorgeous dinnerware, like this Kate Spade New York dinnerware collection and this classy 16-piece drinkware set. Needless to say, we’ll be cashing in on this offer.
Toys R Us gift cards are still accepted at most locations through April 21, according to the Toys R Us website.
