The U.S is pretty much obsessed with avocados—our consumption has tripled in the last 20 years—and the fruit has basically become an icon of the millennial generation. You can now find avocados in a pretty wide range of consumer goods. But the latest avocado product really has people talking.

Essentially, this invention is mashed avocado shoved into an empty deodorant stick—which when you think about it, is pretty darn useful for spreading onto toast and preventing food waste. Plus, it's pretty portable. Though how you'd keep the avocado from turning brown is anyone's guess.
Fortunately it's not real. Unnecessary Inventions, an Instagram account dedicated to silly, useless products, “debuted” their Avocado on a Stick a few weeks ago, leaving followers (and the food news world at large) both excited and grossed out.
While you won’t be able to find the Avocado on a Stick in stores anytime soon (or likely ever), we found some pretty fun avocado-themed products that will make your life much more fruitful.
