Murder in Manhattan
Ingredients
- Grenadine
- Sugar
- 2 parts bourbon (I love Maker’s Mark)
- 1 part sweet vermouth
- 1 dash of bitters
- Maraschino cherries
Preparation
To make the "blood drip" for your glasses, simmer equal parts grenadine and sugar in a saucepan for 12 minutes on medium heat, or until the consistency is nice and syrupy.
Dip the rims of your glasses in the red syrup and quickly turn each glass over to watch the “blood” drip down.
To prepare the drinks, add ice, bourbon, vermouth, and bitters. Stir until well mixed. Top with a maraschino cherry.
