A big part of keeping any room organized is having a dedicated place for items to go. Investing in good storage solutions will help you keep everything in its place (while helping you keep your sanity). Once a year, have a good kitchen clean-out session. As you might do with clothes in your closet, give away any equipment you haven’t used in a year or two and toss any old food from the pantry.

Yamazaki Steel & Wood Kitchen Tool Stand

$24

What we love about this utensil container is that it looks great on the countertop while storing your most-used tools. Unlike many canisters that might allow your tongs, whisks, and spatulas to get tangled, the design here allows utensils a little more breathing room while still keeping them organized and contained in one place.

Mantello Universal Knife Block

$34.99

This knife block fits blades up to 8 inches long, and won't chip or dull them. Best part? You can wash the insert in your dishwasher when it needs it, and it holds a variety of knives—so no wondering what to do if you don't have a matched set.

simplehuman Steel Frame Dish Rack

$80

Wet dishes deserve a place to dry, and we love this one for its innovative drainage spout that lets water drip right back into the sink. It also has a designated place for every type of dish—from plates to utensils to wine glasses—so you don't have to hand dry them ever again.
