There are so many ways you can capitalize on fall's best flavors in the kitchen – and the minute that October rolls around, it seems like we're diving into the endless ways autumn can make a meal that much greater. But of all meals that come out of kitchen, it's easiest to ignore what we're eating at our desk. That's no fun! 

Here are some ways you can incorporate fall flavors into your takeout lunch: 

1) Greek-Chopped Salad with Grilled Pita

Skip caving in to a soggy take-away salad and opt for making your own fresh one. This salad takes on the traditional zingy flavors of everyone’s favorite classic Greek salad with refreshing add-ins like fresh oregano and whole wheat pita.

2) Tuscan White Bean Salad with Shrimp

Kick your typically boring work salad up a notch with this Tuscan-style salad. With an extra protein boost of both shrimp and cannellini beans, this salad is beautiful and super satiating.

Looking for a last-minute lunch fix? Seeing this gorgeous lunch bowl, you’d be surprised to know there’s only six ingredients and takes less than 15 minutes to put together. This is a great recipe to repurpose leftover steak from last night’s dinner. It packs in all the savory flavors of fall: hazelnuts, rosemary, butternut squash, and cranberries. Just make sure your co-workers don’t get too jealous.

5) Sweet Potato and Red Lentil Curry

Get ahead by making a batch of curry to savor and pep up your work lunches all week long. The warming, cozy flavors of garam masala will not only give your workday a cozy fall feeling, but will make your house smells amazing while it’s in the slow cooker. Lentils are an awesome way to get meat-free protein all throughout the week, not just for Meatless Monday.

6) Fire-Roasted Tomato and Basil Soup
