Tomato season is finally here, and we’re stocking up on every kind we can get our hands on. Bright, multi-colored heirloom tomatoes, juicy beefsteaks, deep red cherry tomatoes, and tiny grape tomatoes all make for delectable summer meal additions.

But tomatoes are way more than just a topping for grilled burgers, and they deserve their rightful turn in the spotlight. Here are 11 ways to use summer’s favorite fruit.

Tomato Salad

Bright salads are the focus of any warm weather spread. We’re big fans of the thick slices of multi-colored tomatoes in this Tomato Salad with Herbed Ricotta and Balsamic Vinaigrette or a Corn, Tomato, and Basil Salad. No, we’re not talking about blending up leftover tomatoes and dipping in chips (though, you could do that).
