Bake It Forward with Cat Cora
Today’s #BakeItForward celebrity supporter is Cat Cora. A prominent figure in the culinary community, Cat made television history in 2005 when she became the first female Iron Chef on Food Network’s Iron Chef America. Since then, Cora has continued to evolve her craft to become an accomplished author, restaurateur, contributing editor, avid philanthropist and television host.
Cat is the founder of Chefs for Humanity, an organization dedicated to ending hunger around the world and spreading nutrition education. To raise awareness for the charity, Cat is making chocolate budino, a delicious chocolate dessert similar to a molten cake.
“I love to make my delicious Chocolate Budino for my wife and four boys during the holidays," she said. "There isn't a tastier way to keep warm on a cold winter night! I also enjoy preparing this dish for charity events and dinners, as a way of spreading the warmth during the holiday season."
Inspired? Choose your favorite holiday dessert like Cat did and bake a second batch of treats for a local charity or someone who means something to you. Deliver the treats and show them how much you appreciate them. Snap a photo and tag it #BakeItForward for a chance to win $500. Learn more here.
