Whole grains are getting lots of love these days – a singing chorus of labels now heavily populates the cereal and bread aisle of America’s supermarket.  What excites me, is the creativity behind some of these products, and the ever-expanding interest in the more obscure whole grains like amaranth, millet, and teff.

I don’t know that a story about 100-ways-with-millet would spark near as much interest as a ready-to-eat bag of tasty whole grains – like those from KIND Healthy Snacks.  These bite size clusters contain a blend of 5 whole grains - amaranth , quinoa, oats, millet and buckwheat – a pretty cool texture profile and crunchy combination if you ask me.  With 6 flavor profiles to choose from, you certainly can’t go wrong.

A solid 1/3 cup serving has about 130 calories, lots of filling fiber, and plenty of added bonuses like flaxseed, toasted coconut, dark chocolate, walnuts, and chia seeds, to name a few.

They’ve certainly spruced up my morning Greek yogurt routine, and they’re equally as good straight from the bag.

This week, I’m loving the Oats & Honey Clusters with Toasted Coconut, with 17 grams whole grain!
