There is nothing like walking over to the produce section of a grocery store to encounter the scent of perfectly ripe strawberries. It's the smell of straw hats and summer heat. The perfume of beach ball silliness and pool-side relaxation. It's the essence of community gatherings on picnic tables, grassy hillsides, and blankets strewn across your backyard.

It's strawberry season. And we are excited. Can you tell?

We'll be waiting for brunch to end so we can munch on Strawberry Lemonade Bars, a fantastic balance between childhood nostalgia and a baker's classic.

We'll go simple with Strawberries in Meyer Lemon Syrup. Quick, easy, and topped with whipped fluffiness.

We'll throw them into a Chicken and Strawberry Salad. The rich blue cheese is key.

We'll even dress them up in a Strawberry Rhubarb Trifle. Let it sit overnight, and it just gets better and better.

We'll get fancy, too, with a Strawberry Tart with Quinoa-Almond Crust. Crunchy, creamy, and certainly wow-worthy.

We'll go gluten-free and dairy-free with Sponge Cake with Orange Curd and Strawberries, because everyone is invited to the strawberry party.

And after strawberry picking, what will we do with the buckets of berries? Roast them, of course!
