If you're going to indulge your sweet tooth at snack time, make it a worthy treat. Chocolate is great and all, but when you can pair it with a filling nut or fruit, you're hitting snack euphoria. A great example of this combination: Royal Hawaiian Orchards' new dark chocolate roasted macadamia nuts. They come in three flavors--Dark Chocolate Blackberry Goji, Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Mango, and Dark Chocolate Blueberry Acai.

Each macadamia nut is enrobed with rich bittersweet chocolate. The fruit flavors are infused in the chocolate so you get a fresh hit of sweet, florally fruit in each bite.

We gave one of each flavor to the Cooking Light taste test team, and here's what they had to say...

The unanimous winner: Dark Chocolate Blueberry Acai. One taster wrote, "I'd take the whole bag right now if people weren't watching." Another said, "This is by far my favorite. I just wish the chocolate were more bitter."

Second favorite: Dark Chocolate Blackberry Goji. "It's a good snack, but I wish the fruit flavor wasn't so perfumey," wrote one taster.

And our least favorite, the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Mango was just "too fruity and strong for my tastes but a great sweet snack for when a craving hits."

One thing that was a wee bit irritating for those of us counting calories: the nutrition label doesn't list an estimated amount with the serving size. It says 40g, and unless you've got a scale handy, that's difficult to gauge. What's not difficult to gauge: that one serving is 1/3 of the bag, and that only costs you 220 calories. That's a big amount for a great snack!
