Pair a Piney IPA with Herby Fish Tacos

Spring has sprung which means one thing: The sessional beers are flowing.
And we couldn’t be more excited. Gone are the heavy, dark porters and stouts. In are the fruity, hoppy ales and pilsners that are more appropriate for daydrinking outdoors in the sun.
Today we sampled Founder’s All Day IPA, a floral, piney ale. We agreed it was pleasantly bitter, not overwhelming—a mellow IPA very much in tune with Spring’s fresh feeling.
Not too heavy to drink in the sun, but still complex enough to be flavorful, this IPA is 4.7% ABV and is available from March to September. Rate Beer gives it a whopping 96/100, we give a thumbs up as well.
Pairing: For food pairing, pick something that’s not going to compete for having the strongest flavor—think fish or chicken instead of beef or pork. A creamy, herby sauce will balance out the bitterness. These Fish Tacos with Lime-Cilantro Crema will be a perfect match. For an even lighter fare, this Chicken-Avocado Salad is a good pick, too.
