3 Spring Soda Recipes You Can Make at Home: Triple Berry Fizz
Spring is here, and the heat is coming along with it. We at Cooking Light consume a crazy amount of carbonated water, especially in the warm months, and sometimes the pileup of cans just gets to be too much! Enter: The SodaStream. I'm pretty much obsessed with this product—I drink a lot of water working in the kitchen, and fizzy water just makes getting my 8 cups a day in more fun! I simply fill the canister with cold water, place it into the SodaStream, and ta-dah! Fizz! My immediate go-to is a squeeze of fresh lemon, but I thought it might be fun to come up with a few fresh, no-sugar-added soda recipes to mix it up a bit.

Triple Berry Fizz
When I first think of soda, I immediately go to 'Why is it brown?' Why do people drink a sweet, carbonated liquid that is such an ugly color!? I've sworn off standard sodas, and it has made such a difference. Yes, sometimes the insane craving gets to me, but I feel so much better when I drink water and leave the caffeine to my morning coffee.
This fizz featuring beautiful, juicy berries is an awesome alternative to sugar-loaded sodas, and it celebrates the fact that strawberry season is here!
- 1 oz each raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries
- 1 L SodaStream carbonated water
- Set berries out on a cutting board. With a sharp knife, finely dice berries. (It does not have to be perfect!) Keep chopping until you get a smoother consistency.
- Pour into a glass, and top with carbonated water. Enjoy with a large straw!
