One of my goals this year is to set aside time each weekend to make a menu for the week ahead, and then go on a shopping trip—once. Not only will this help me feel more organized and cut back on the daily "what's for dinner?" dilemma, but it also helps my family save money which is always a good thing. Speaking of saving money, our friends at RealSimple.com compiled a fantastic list on how to save money on various items on your grocery list—from fresh produce and breads to wine and beer.

I'd love your tips as well: How do you save money on groceries? Any tips or strategies for weekly menu planning?
