Here's an easy homemade condiment that's tangy and sweet with a little spicy kick. It's delicious as part of a cheese board, on a burger or sandwich, with pork chops or pork tenderloin, or tucked into the ultimate snack lunch.

This recipe goes with: Ploughman's Lunch Box

How to Make It

Heat a small saucepan over medium-high. Add oil; swirl to coat. Add shallots; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add apple; cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in mustard seeds, sugar, pepper, cloves, and salt. Add vinegar and 2 tablespoons water; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until apples are tender and most of liquid is absorbed.
