Mango Jalapeño Savory Jam

Yield

About 1 1/2 cups (2 tablespoons per serving)

A little spicy, a little sweet, this savory jam has the best of both worlds. Use it as a tangy topping for tacos, tuck inside burritos or enchiladas, or ramp up your next burger or sandwich. Fresh lime cuts through the heat of the jalapeño and the natural sweetness of the mangoes to create a condiment that deserves a place in your fridge.

Ingredients

  • 2 large mangos, peeled and diced
  • 1 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced (keep seeds if you want extra spice)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 lime, juiced and zested

How to Make It

  1. Place mangoes in a medium size pot over medium-low heat. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the mangoes have begun to slightly soften and release liquid.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and turn the heat down to low. Continue cooking for about 20 minutes, or until a jam-like consistency is reached. Pour in a jar and seal tightly. Keeps in the fridge for about a week.
