Rachel represented the UK in the road race at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and won the Bronze Medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2002. She has a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University (UK) and went to work for Cadbury Ltd. after graduation. Always active in sports, Rachel joined a cycling club in 1997 and starting riding and racing on the weekends. By 2001, she decided to leave her job and commit to cycling full-time. Rachel earned 13 podium finishes as a member of the British national team before turning pro in 2004. Rachel made her debut on the North American peloton in 2006 as a member of Team Victory Brewing, following a distinguished racing career in Europe. She comes over from Team Tibco.
