Murder in Manhattan: The Perfect Halloween Cocktail

Wrangle up a few of your favorite witches and ghouls, because Halloween is fast approaching. If you, like me, are a fan of this delightful and terrifying holiday, then you’ll find yourself at ease with this cocktail in your hand. Introducing the Murder in Manhattan. So good it’s deadly.

Murder in Manhattan

Ingredients Grenadine Sugar 2 parts bourbon (I love Maker’s Mark) 1 part sweet vermouth 1 dash of bitters Maraschino cherries

Preparation To make the "blood drip" for your glasses, simmer equal parts grenadine and sugar in a saucepan for 12 minutes on medium heat, or until the consistency is nice and syrupy.

Dip the rims of your glasses in the red syrup and quickly turn each glass over to watch the “blood” drip down.

To prepare the drinks, add ice, bourbon, vermouth, and bitters. Stir until well mixed. Top with a maraschino cherry.
