That Perfect Build-Your-Own Dessert Pizza for Fall

Whether you're throwing the ultimate Halloween bash or making your best friend's birthday dessert, choosing a seasonal sweet treat is a must. Introducing: Build-Your-Own Dessert Pizza. From caramel apples and s'mores to chocolate-covered espresso beans and coconut spice brittle, there's a taste of fall in every slice.

Toppings from top left: raisins/cranberries/walnuts mix, coconut spice brittle, chocolate-covered espresso, s'mores, peanut butter chocolate and original candy corns, and caramel apple chips. Photo: Hanna Butler

The base of the pizza is a chocolate chip cookie cake made from a perfected recipe I stumbled upon. For the icing, I doubled the ingredients of my favorite Greek yogurt/cream cheese frosting (that's healthy-ish, right?). For quicker prep, a ready-made icing would work just as well. For a lower-sugar option, peanut or almond butter would be a delicious route to take for holding on your tasty toppings.

When I went shopping for the pizza pie toppers, the weather was finally cooler, the leaves were falling, and I was in an uber fall spirit. Needless to say I got a little too excited and went with six different ones. Although they're all yummy and fall-supportive, that many toppings can seem daunting. Choosing just one or two would work beautifully! And no pressure to use my favorites in the photo. The best part about this dessert is how easily customizable it is.

If you have a very fall-ish occasion and are looking for an easy (but splurge-y for sure) treat, the options for this dessert are endless.
