We assembled a task force of staff from our Birmingham offices, which include sister brands Southern Living, Coastal Living, MyRecipes, and Oxmoor House, to try the Cooking Light Diet for 3 months last fall (October-December 2015) and blog about it. Here’s what they had to say.
After almost two months on the Cooking Light Diet, my husband and I are still fired up about our success. We look forward to the menus each week and are still impressed with the variety and the ability to customize them to our likes and dislikes. We have definitely picked out some favorites and are able to rotate them in when we like.
The most eye-opening thing so far for my husband has been learning the correct size of a portion.
Gone is the 8 to 10-oz. rib-eye, or going back for seconds on everything. That has been a little tough on him, but the results have far outweighed the sacrifices—he currently has lost 16 pounds* and his clothes are beginning to fit a lot better. He is really looking forward to a shopping trip for new pants!
