Sometimes mother really does know best, which is why when his mother suggested an oatmeal cookie flavor of his salted caramel corn, Zlicious Confections founder Matthew Walton went right to work developing a recipe. It turns out mom was on to something and the sweet, salty, slightly nutty popcorn has quickly become a fan favorite. Each piece of perfectly popped corn is fully coated in salted caramel sauce, a recipe that Matthew inherited from his grandmother, then tossed with a custom spice blend featuring cinnamon and rolled oats.
Although Matthew did not start his career as a food producer until 2012, he dove right in once he found his calling, moving from testing to full-scale production in just three weeks. Now the Los Angeles based company makes small batches of eight salted caramel corn flavors and three new savory popcorn flavors, each bag made without additives or artificial flavors. Matthew recommends eating straight out of the bag, no need to share.
