After 25 successful years in the tech industry, Robin Cohen fulfilled her childhood dream of starting a business making preserves, as she had learned to do from her father and family. Using the skills her family taught her, Robin launched Doves & Figs from her home, making preserves from locally grown fruit. Robin works closely with local Massachusetts farmers to source her fruits, slowly cooks it down to concentrate the flavors, then adds pure non-GMO cane sugar to sweeten slightly and to preserve the fruit.
To make her sweet and tangy Cranberry Fruit Mustard, Robin uses tart cranberries harvested from a single bog on Cape Cod. They are then mixed with cracked brown mustard seed, vinegar, spices and sugar to balance out the tartness of the cranberries. Robin recommends spreading Cranberry Fruit Mustard on a sandwich as a great way to add in flavor without fat. It's also perfect for making vinaigrettes to pour over fresh salads or use as a glaze for grilled meats.
Doves & Figs Cranberry Fruit Mustard is available online and in stores across the country.
