All kids need to make these cookies are child-sized curiosity, a serious appetite, pint-sized enthusiasm, nimble fingers to shape the dough, and a little help from you.

We've already picked their favorite flavors―chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar and spice, and peanut butter―so all you'll need to do is decide which to make first.

And since they are lower in fat and calories, these are pretty smart cookies for us big kids, too.

Tender Cookies
To make sure your cookies are tender, measure flour the same way our Test Kitchen experts do: Use the correct size dry measuring cup, and stir the flour in the container to loosen it before measuring. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, and level it with a flat metal spatula.
