Get Creative with Gnocchi

Gnocchi is a type of pasta that resembles dumplings, with origins stemming from ancient Rome. Traditionally created in Italian households from a mixture of flour, egg, and sometimes potato, gnocchi can also be purchased fresh from specialty markets or packaged dried, frozen, or refrigerated at the supermarket (and you won’t sacrifice any of the amazing flavor).

First up is Browned Butter Gnocchi with Broccoli and Nuts. In this family-friendly recipe, kids like the chewy gnocchi, sweet broccoli, and crunchy nuts. Plus, if you’re looking to cut costs, chopped almonds or pecans serve as a great substitute for pine nuts.
