"I loved these chewy oat squares. They were so simple to make and are nice to snack on. If you make these ahead of time, they would be good for breakfast on the run or with a bowl of yogurt on the side. I am usually late getting up in the morning, so these squares were an easy breakfast solution. I usually like more savory foods, so in the future, I think I could cut down on the cane syrup a little bit. I also tried this recipe with raisins instead of cherries, and it was just as delicious. You could also add some almonds or walnuts if you wanted."
