Summer, I will miss you (but not the frizzy hair your humidity brings, to be quite honest, but that's another blog post)!

One of the fresh treats of summer that I will miss most: cherries. Here, five ways to keep summer's tart star going just a wee bit longer.

Double-Cherry Upside-Down Cake: We'll get to the classic pie in just a sec, but let's start with a visual stunner. Choose your cherry varieties, and place them in any pattern you like. You could even create an on-trend ombre pattern with this one (please show us if you do!).

Fresh Cherry Pie: Any other children of the 80s now have the Warrant song stuck in your head? Sorry. Replace it with dreams of this classic way to highlight your cherries.

Salad with Cherries, Goat Cheese, and Pistachios: There's so much goodness working together here: creamy goat cheese, tang from the onion, and tart from the cherries.

Bittersweet Chocolate-Cherry Sorbet with Fresh Cherry Compote: Chocolate and cherries are flavor profile BFFs. See why when you select a good, dark chocolate for this recipe.

Bourbon Candied Cherries: You had me at bourbon. This is the ultimate way to keep your cherries rolling on into fall. Try them in ice cream or a cocktail (two of my favorite things)!
