Nearly 400 hospitals and food service contractors have signed his Healthy Food Pledge, an effort to treat hospital food as preventive medicine. Participants perform hospital menu makeovers, stock their larders with CSA-supplied produce, and eliminate foods laced with pesticides and antibiotics.
