5 Soups for Sick Friends

It’s hard sometimes to know how to help a friend who is under the weather.  I’ve found that making a pot of soup and taking it to them is always appreciated. Who wants or feels like cooking when they’re sick? Soup warms the soul and was always my mother’s go to when we were sick as children.  Somehow, I’ve just carried on the tradition.  Here’s a list of 5 soups that any sick friend would be happy to receive.  Careful though, once you start delivering soup to sick friends, you may get called every time they feel ill.

Of course the best soup to take a sick friend has to be Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup.  Our recipe is super simple but delivers big flavors.

Hot and Sour Soup with Tofu: I always crave hot and sour soup when I have a cold. Something about the flavors and the warm broth instantly helps.

Tomato-Basil Soup: A sure-fire way to help a sick friend on the road to recovery is with a bowl of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich.

What sick child didn’t get Chicken and Rice Soup?  Our homemade version is much better and your sick friends will appreciate it so much more.
