"I'm someone who bakes almost daily, year-round, but around the holidays my relationship with my oven is always twice as intense—and it never hurts to up the recipe and double the happy mouths!" she said. "I was thrilled to hear about the "Bake It Forward" campaign and be asked to take part."
This year, Ali says she has been especially inspired by her involvement with FEED Projects, so she is sharing her second batch of Pumpkin Snack Cake with local volunteers who work with Meals on Wheels at St. Vincent's in Los Angeles.
"I prepared my Pumpkin Snack Cake, because, well, that's what I want to eat this time of year!" she said. "It's easy to make and equally delicious for a relaxed afternoon tea or on-the-go—if you'd like to make it yourself (or, better yet, bake two batches to share!) click over to www.alilarter.com for the recipe," she said. "We even have a vegan version for those attempting to cook especially light throughout the holidays. Happy holidays, and happy baking!"
Inspired? Choose a pumpkin cake recipe like Ali did, and bake a second batch of treats for a local charity or someone who means something to you. Deliver the treats, and show them how much you appreciate them. Snap a photo, and tag it #BakeItForward for a chance to win $500. Learn more here.
Check back tomorrow to see who else is joining us to #BakeItForward.
