After a night on the town -- the biggest party night of the year, no less -- you need sustenance. But you don't need a culinary hassle. We've got just the answer: our New Year's Day brunch. Many of these dishes can be prepped or made completely days ahead, so you can enjoy the first morning of the New Year.

Some are so simple, they only require one or two steps. Still, we've made it even simpler by offering a get-ready-for-brunch game plan, to help you organize. So all you'll have left to contemplate the morning-of are your New Year's resolutions.

Get-Ready-For-Brunch Game Plan
Brunch is supposed to be tasty and easy. And it can be both if you do a little planning ahead.

1. Start a notebook prior to the brunch. Outline each task to be completed, and check it off as you go. You'll start the morning knowing all the essential elements have been handled.

2. Identify serving pieces for each dish ahead of time. Place a note card with the name of the recipe to be served on each piece. You'll save yourself from that last-minute rush to find your favorite serving platter.

3. Clean dishes as you go. Starting the day with an empty dishwasher, you'll find the daunting task of post-party cleanup less overwhelming. Knowing that a quick-to-clean kitchen awaits will free you to enjoy the company of family and friends.

4. Designate an area for coffee, juices, water, and other beverages. This will allow guests to serve themselves and create an immediate opportunity for them to make themselves at home.
