When your lipstick snaps off at the base, find an old pill case or any small plastic container with a lid and make a new home for it, says Manhattan makeup artist Laura Geller. Just scoop the broken stick into the well and heat in the microwave for about 50 seconds (make sure the container is microwave safe first). Melting the lip color allows it to mold neatly to the container as it cools. Apply with a brush or finger.
