 2004 Cooking Light FitHouse

We began the project in 2002 with a simple idea: We wanted to bring the Cooking Light lifestyle to life and pioneer an intellligent way to incorporate healthy living into every aspect of every day. The result is a warm and inviting home that is environmentally friendly in its design, construction, and landscape. From the building materials to the furnishings, every aspect of the Fit House is dedicated to encouraging a healthy lifestyle—this is a home where you can eat smart, be fit, and live well.

What exactly makes a Fit House 'fit?'

The Fit House design creates a kitchen comfortable for cooking and conversation, dedicates an area for regular exercise, and provides for improved air and water quality.

By incorporating organization, simplicity, and light into its design, the Fit House is a comfortable and tranquil retreat for de-stressing, resting, and relaxing.

Environmentally "fit," the Fit House utilizes earth-friendly design, construction, building products, and landscape techniques.
