Try this technique with our Steamed Vegetarian Dumpling recipe.
Step 1. Working with 1 won ton wrapper at a time, spoon 1 teaspoon filling
mixture into the center of each wrapper (keep remaining wrappers covered to
prevent drying).
Step 2. Moisten edges of wrapper with water, and bring 2 opposite corners
to the center, pinching points to seal. Bring the other 2 corners to the center,
pinching points together.
Step 3. Place dumplings on a large baking sheet sprinkled with cornstarch;
cover loosely with a towel to keep them from drying.
Step 4. Arrange first batch of dumplings in a single layer in a vegetable
steamer coated with cooking spray. Steam them covered for 15 minutes. Remove
the dumplings from steamer; set aside, and keep warm. Repeat the procedure with
the remaining dumplings.
