We Tasted It: Yoplait Plenti Oatmeal and Greek Yogurt Cups

Greek yogurt has been the big man on campus for several years, and trust me, it's not going anywhere any time soon. However, yogurt manufacturers are quickly getting hip to the fact that consumers want as much bang for their calorie buck as they can get. That's where the magic of the marriage between oats and yogurt happens. Yoplait's contribution to the grains + dairy world, their Plenti line, is nothing short of fantastic. Specifically, we're big fans of their strawberry and vanilla flavors. Here's what our tasting team had to say:

The strawberry is "good, a bit heavy if you're not used to the overnight oats texture."

The vanilla, which won the majority of the votes is "Delicious Stupendous! I'd eat this for breakfast any day topped with fresh fruit!"

"I love the concept of all of these - great protein + whole grain combo execution!"

One annoying factor: added sugar. As a whole, Americans are growing more and more leery of unnecessary sugar. It would be great to see brands make the no-added-sugar leap sooner rather than later. On a positive note, we're really glad to see that Yoplait has decided to remove thickeners and fillers from their Greek yogurt!
