A wine expert and educator once taught me that describing a wine in terms of a famous actor or actress can sometimes tell it all. Let’s practice: A glass of shiraz is like George Clooney, rich, dramatic, and sometimes a bit wild. And dessert-worthy Sauternes can be as preciously sweet as Dakota Fanning (in Charlotte’s Web, not the Twilight movies). You can do this in broad terms by variety, but it also works well to describe a particular wine you love.
If you’d like to play, here’s how it works:

Step 2: Describe for us here in 50 words or less a wine variety or specific label in terms of a famous entertainer, politician, or other public figure. Entries should be typed into the comments field of this blog post. Entries are due by Tuesday, November 2 at 11:59 a.m. EST.
