Have you heard the line about leftover ham from Joy of Cooking? "Eternity is a ham and two people," the classic cookbook states. (Some sources flipflop the order: "Eternity is two people and a ham." Doesn't really matter. You get the idea.) That's a relatable quote if you served up ham at your annual Easter lunch last weekend and now find yourself with several pounds of the prime protein.
