Every Friday, we select a new beer, wine, or liquor to put through the tasting gauntlet. Here’s our latest pick.

In honor of St. Paddy's Day, we picked out Samuel Adams' Irish Red, a copper red ale packed with plenty of maltiness.

This medium-bodied beer is light enough for spring, but roasted caramel flavors and a touch of sweetness still make it nice to sip in colder weather. A tinge of hoppy bitterness in the background rounds out the flavor.

This tasty brew would be a perfect companion for corned beef or a hearty, meaty sandwich (like a Reuben or pastrami).

Guinness will always be a staple, but if you're looking for something different to try this Sunday, seek out the Irish Red.
