I've been hitting the hummus pretty hard lately, and loved ones are growing concerned. But they need not worry: Unlike my annual fall Buffalo wing binge, there's little to no harm done from an extra serving or three of creamy mashed chickpeas. Those who worry about my self-control remind me that it's a dip, meant as a snack. Not, you know, dinner.

The good folks at Sabra are responsible for my current obsession. I'm a Sabra guy from way back. To my taste, it's the creamiest, richest, fullest-flavored hummus on the market. I typically up the ante by going for their Supremely Spicy Hummus. (And they're not kidding, by the way. While so many products labeled "hot" are actually quite tame, this stuff is spicy. Supremely.) But this week, I wanted something a little subtler, and to my delight, I discovered their new product: Olive Tapenade Hummus. Talk about two great tastes that taste great together. If you're a hummus fan, I urge you to try it. And if you can stop at the prescribed dose of two tablespoons, well, you're a far stronger person than I.
