We Tried It: Love Grown Foods Mighty Flakes

Brimming with good-for-you ingredients, these crunchy, slightly sweet Mighty Flakes are a much healthier version of the sugar-laden cereals flooding the grocery stores these days. With a punch of hearty fiber from navy beans, lentils, and garbanzo beans, these flakes are completely gluten- and corn-free, making them a perfect option for those with gluten sensitivities.

But even if you're not gluten-free, you can still enjoy the nutrition Love Grown Foods delivers to the breakfast table with their bean flakes. With 4 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber, 1 gram of fat, and only 4 grams of sugar in the Original bean flakes, you can feel good about feeding you and your kids these for breakfast or a snack.

I tried all of the flavors, including Chocolate Joy, Cranberry Almond, Strawberries & Flakes, Frosted and the Original. My favorites are the Cranberry Almond and the Original flavor. Though they all tasted good, I love adding fresh berries or bananas to my cereal, so the plain was a natural fit for my preferences, but I absolutely loved the Cranberry Almond on its own, and with almond milk. Not only are they filling, but they also give a lasting energy that kept me satisfied until my mid-morning snack.
