Our Favorite: Pepperidge Farm Stone Baked French Dinner Rolls
$3.89 (8 rolls per bag)
A thin, crispy exterior gives way to a soft, fluffy, well-proofed interior—these really do taste like they came out of a good bakery. The crust is mildly buttery with a toasty nuttiness, and the inside is slightly salty with a hint of sourdough yeastiness. This is a versatile roll that will save you lots of time.

Runner-Up: Rhodes Warm-N-Serv French Crusty Rolls
$2.29 (6 rolls per bag)
These rolls seem a little more homemade—the chewy interior has an earthy flavor and a good level of salt without exceeding our sodium requirements. The exterior is flaky-crunchy and shatters when you bite in. They're ready in just minutes, but they're so good you could easily pass them off as your grandmother's recipe.
